Located in the heart of Mauritius, the Happy Tails Dog Sanctuary & Adoption Centre is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming stray and abandoned dogs. The centre provides a safe haven for these animals, offering them the care and love they need to recover and thrive. With a strong commitment to animal welfare, Happy Tails also works to educate the local community about responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering.
Volunteering at Happy Tails Dog Sanctuary & Adoption Centre is a rewarding and fulfilling experience. As a volunteer, you'll be involved in various activities that directly impact the well-being of the dogs.
Some of your tasks may include:

Feeding and Grooming: Ensuring the dogs receive nutritious meals and maintaining their hygiene through regular grooming sessions.

Exercise and Socialisation: Helping the dogs stay active and happy by taking them for walks, playing with them, and providing essential social interaction.

Medical Care: Assisting with basic medical care, such as administering medications and aiding in veterinary visits.

Shelter Maintenance: Keeping the sanctuary clean and safe by participating in general maintenance tasks and organising supplies.

Community Outreach: Supporting educational programmes aimed at raising awareness about animal welfare within the local community.
This is one of the simplest ways to help our cause. We believe the best way for our initiatives to be successful is for the community to actively get involved. This is an easy and efficient way of contributing to the great work we do.
