A Bit of Background

Here at Happy Tails Sanctuary & Adoption Center, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for dogs. We strive to keep learning to always be the leaders of the pack, in offering our rescued dogs the very best chance in life.

Benji has been adopted with his bestie Annie (both special-needs dogs) in Germany by a wonderful family. We need a flight buddy for Benji to travel on the same flight as Annie on the 2nd of October on Condor airlines. If you can help or know someone travelling on this flight, please contact us. I respect the fact that this lady wanted to help BUT being deceitful is not the way! She asked Indies World and then asked us, we have 130 dogs and struggle with space especially for puppies. Yet she didn’t take “sorry we have no space” as an answer. She just dumped the box of puppies near the main road. These little pups could have been hit by a car..

So what is the solution????

If you can’t see a rescue through to the end, DON’T GET INVOLVED! Tell the relevant rescuers and animal lovers and leave it to them. Don’t try to be a hero when you are being part of the problem. Dumping dogs is not the way!

Casper was dumped like piece of garbage on the side of a busy road. He was so weak and undernourished that he could not move, someone spotted him and decided to help him. His vet visits were unsuccessful, they just gave him loads of tablets which in his state he could not digest…. So he’s ended up at Happy Tails (foster care) We need help to get him back on his feet and adopted as soon as he is better. He’s only 10 months old, still a puppy & I can always see that he will be such a cuddly companion for someone willing to help him heal from his wounds and rough start on this earth. Please share and let’s find a good home for this little angel asap. I think he’ll be ok within a couple of months to start a new life here or overseas. We want to share some incredible news with all our supporters: TILLY, who went missing months ago after escaping her new home just days after being adopted, has been FOUND!

She traveled across Mont Carlos in Tamarin, skillfully navigating busy streets and avoiding people and other dogs, ultimately ending up in a hunting area near the Black River church.

The owner of this area had initially ordered his staff to shoot her, but fortunately, they decided against it. Instead, they kept her in a cage, unsure of what to do next.

Thankfully, one of the workers spotted our poster and reached out to us! We had been tirelessly searching the area, putting up posters and spending countless hours looking for her. The stress and worry have finally come to an end.

We prayed for her safe return and vowed never to give up! It feels like divine intervention brought her back to us, just days away from a tragic fate. We’re overjoyed to have her back at the sanctuary, where she quickly settled back into her routine with her little pack. Everything is back to normal for our beloved Tilly.

This experience has taught us so many lessons, especially the importance of perseverance!
